Meet Our Emcee: Matt Barcaro

Matt Barcaro will be our emcee again this year. This will be his 10th year as our host for Bark in the Park. We are excited to have him once again.

He joined the WGAL News 8 team in April 2008 and is happy to be back in the Keystone State, having grown up outside of Philadelphia.

Matt attended college at Syracuse University where he majored in Broadcast Journalism and History.

While he's always been an avid news junkie, his true love of journalism and politics came during an internship in the Hearst-Argyle Washington Bureau, where he had the chance to work on stories at the White House and on Capitol Hill. He continued his career in Arkansas where he worked as a reporter for WGAL's sister station in Fort Smith-Fayetteville.

Aside from reporting the news, Matt enjoys spending time outdoors camping and hiking, taking pictures and cooking. He's also a huge music fan.

Matt looks forward to catching up with old friends and meeting many new ones.
